TRSAR RecognitionEvent

TRSAR Members:

For those who missed it, we had a recognition event at the February meeting last week where we gave two levels of recognition to squad members who have gone above and beyond in support of Tonto Rim Search and Rescue.

The first pin (see attached image) is for TRSAR service and has the following qualifications:

bullet Total number of hours dedicated to the squad (over 1000 hours)
bullet Service as a board member,
bullet Service as an officer,
bullet Service as a training coordinator for specific disciplines,
bullet Other service above and beyond
The Service Pin citation reads:

Successful Search and Rescue operations require a significant commitment by squad members to provide training, fundraising, equipment maintenance, building maintenance, operational direction, etc. The Tonto Rim Search and Rescue Service PIN recognizes those who go above and beyond in their efforts to keep the squad running smoothly with a pin that can be worn proudly at TRSAR and non-TRSAR functions.

The 100 Mission Pin citation reads:

Search and Rescue missions are the core function of Tonto Rim Search and Rescue. Participating in 100 SAR missions is a significant achievement. It represents the hundreds of hours spent on missions at any hour of the day or night and in any weather, as well as all of the training that was required to execute those missions. The 100 Mission Pin recognizes that achievement with a pin that can be worn proudly at TRSAR and non-TRSAR functions.
