Mock Mission

The “mock” mission will be this Saturday at 0800, just past Waterwheel on the Houston Mesa Road at 0800. The following is a list of the teams and entities that are involved so far:
Canine Team
Rope Team
Canyoneering Team
Swiftwater Team
Rod Barnes, IC, with a brief explanation of how it works (relevance of FEMA/NIMS)
Joe Bowman and his mules
Brad Cole and the drone
GCSO will be represented by Cole and possibly another deputy
If you’re new and haven’t been on a mission bring your daypack, water and something to snack on.
Please get the Caltopo app downloaded on your phone! This is essential for creating tracks, waypoints, your personal coordinates and finding your way back to where you started when you’re exhausted and it’s dark and much more. Besides the app you’ll need to create an account and I’m going to ask Bill if he’ll post the current link to do this; again-thanks! This is critical! Please get it done.
