Wilderness First Aid

This is a 2-day event….participants must attend both days.
WFA will be held on January 28-29, 2023. It will be held at Messinger Funeral Home in the community room. We start at 0800 each day and will go to approximately 1600 on Saturday and roughly noon or so on Sunday. It is available to all TRSAR members and also this year to the prospective members in the queue currently waiting for their background checks to be completed.
Simon and I are the lead instructors. We are both physicians and have advanced wilderness and expedition provider certifications. We are also certified as instructors by ECSI and NASAR. Just like in past years, because we know a little bit but not everything, we will be looking for assistance from other squad members for teaching or manning skill stations. Paramedics, EMT’s, nurses and other dedicated members are welcome to help. We can always find something for you to do. Let me know. Thanks.
We will be adding a few new things and also adding a little more depth to some areas. The book will be the same. WFA is a TRSAR requirement. The knowledge and skills are perishable so come and get them updated. You will receive a certificate for your attendance and if necessary a card for NASAR Sartech certification.
Please RSVP by December 15th so that I can get books for the new attendees and supplies ordered.
